American Anthropological Association Internship Program
Thanks to a very generous donation from the family of a recent Anthropology major, the Georgetown University Department of Anthropology is happy to sponsor two paid internships at the American Anthropological Association (AAA) headquarters in Arlington, VA. Interns will work on two of the AAA’s signature public education initiatives: RACE: Are We So Different? (https://www.understandingrace.org), and World on the Move: 250,000 Years of Human Migration (https://www.understandingmigration.org). Interns will assist AAA staff in the curation of teaching and learning materials for both websites, and will help work on accessibility features such as alt text for images.
Interns will also help support the AAA Task Force on Anthropology and American Indian/Alaska Native Nations. This is an appointed group of members who are collecting information on land acknowledgements and the processes by which they have been developed.
Interns will be expected to work 5-8 hours per week at the AAA, and will receive $20 per hour.
To apply, please submit the AAA Internship Application Form to Amanda Armstrong (aa2578@georgetown.edu) by Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:59PM.
